Ada Belle Erickson

Ada Belle Erickson, 94, longtime Superior resident, died on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her home. She was born on November 13, 1919 in Spooner, WI to Ray and Laura (Pierce) Hanson.

She worked at the Butler Shipyards during World War II.

Ada married Harvey C. Erickson and they celebrated sixty-three years of marriage before his passing in 2009.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and socializing with her husband.

She was a former member of the Eagles Club in Superior.

Ada is survived by two sons, Harvey (Sandy Grecinger) Erickson, Duluth, MN and Rick Erickson, Superior, WI; daughter, Gerrie Hester, Villapark, IL; daughter-in-law, Mary Jendrzejewski, South Range, WI; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey, her parents, three sons, Michael and Wayne Erickson and Owen Gravening; five sisters Beatrice, Claire, Harriet, Blanche and Eilene, four brothers Roy, Ed, Earl and Louie.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior until the 2:00 PM memorial service with Pastor Ashley Nicolls of Concordia Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior at a later date.
