Adrienne Swenson

Adrienne Swenson, 58, Hayward, WI passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015

at the Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, WI following a courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born on June 19, 1957 in Virginia, MN to Jennis H. and Nancy (Weyandt) Swenson.

Adrienne graduated from high school and went on to receive two degrees, one in mechanical engineering and the other in math. She was employed for 27 years as a design engineer for Trussworks in Hayward, WI.

In her spare time Adrienne enjoyed crafting. She was an accomplished seamstress, quilter and cross-stitcher. Her other past times included embroidery, reading and watching the Green Bay Packers play football. She really loved spending time with her family.

Adrienne is survived by her mother, Nancy Swenson, Iron River, WI; one sister, Stephanie (Bill) Woerle, Brule, WI; one brother, Theodore “Stub” (Susan) Swenson, Iron River and one niece, Jill (Harry) Van Kessel, Duluth, MN. She is also survived by many aunts uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jennis H. Swenson, Sr. and her brother, Jennis H. Swenson, Jr.

A time of remembrance and celebration of Adrienne’s life will be from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Iron River VFW with a luncheon to follow.

Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Brule, WI.

In lieu of flowers, please make an extra donation in the Salvation Army Red Kettles this holiday season. Christmas was Adrienne’s favorite time of year.

Adrienne’s family would like to thank the physicians, hospice nurses, RN’s and LPN’S at the Hayward Hospital, Essential Health in Duluth, Court Manor in Ashland and Memorial Medical Center in Ashland, for their compassionate care and support given to Adrienne and our family.
