Agnes R. Zatko

Agnes R. Zatko, 92, longtime Superior resident, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at Superior Rehabilitation Center in Superior. She was born on June 10, 1926 in Superior, WI to John and Mary Odlevak.

Agnes worked in retail sales at Roth Brothers and Pranges/Younkers for many years. She married Peter Zatko on June 5, 1948 and they celebrated 31 years of marriage before his passing in 1979. She was a long-time member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.  Agnes was also a long-time member of the Onaway Club as well as an avid bowler and golfer.

Agnes is survived by two daughters, Patti (Frank) Mahoney, Eden Prairie, MN and Susan (Tom Mathisen) Nelson, Minnetonka, MN; one son, John (Carolyn) Zatko, Superior, WI; three grandchildren, Lisa, Candace and Jake; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Callum; one brother, Robert (Holly) Odlevak, MI; close cousin, Pam (Mike) Fiorini, Seattle, WA and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Peter, sister Alice Kanzler and brother Jimmy Odlevak.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 27, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. James Tobolski as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Superior immediately after the service.
