Albert "Al" G. Remer

Albert “Al” G. Remer, 73, Brule, WI resident, died Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth. He was born on June 14, 1943 in Superior, WI to George and Nina (Ashenhurst) Remer.

Al graduated from high school in 1962 and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was a maintenance worker at the General Mills Taco Plant in Poplar, WI for many years. Al farmed with his mother Nina for many years on the family farm in Cloverland, WI. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

Al is survived by two sisters, Alice (Kenny) Ekstrom, AZ and Ada McGower, AR; many cousins and lifelong friends and caregivers, Gary (Sondra) Peterson, Brule, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Brule Presbyterian Church in Brule, WI and will continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service with Pastor Leslie Anderson officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior at a later date.
