Alice B. Heikkila

Alice B. Heikkila, 94, longtime area resident died peacefully, Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Superior Health and Rehabilitation in Superior, WI. She was born in Lake Nebagamon, WI, July 15, 1925, the daughter of John and Mary (Bailey) Human.

She was united in marriage to Eino Heikkila February 4, 1944 and they celebrated forty-three years of marriage before his passing in 1987.

Alice enjoyed her years as a homemaker, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was active and loved dancing, bowling and picking blueberries. She will forever be remembered for her plants and her green thumb. She was also a member of UCT #333.

She is survived by her daughter, Lola Marks, Superior, WI; sons, Timothy (Monteen) Heikkila, Tallahassee, FL, and Jerome (Janice) Heikkila; daughter-in-law, Cie Heikkila, Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; two sisters, Vicky and Clara.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eino; son, LeRoy Heikkila; parents; and a grandson, Tobin Heikkila.

A graveside service with begin at 1:30 PM, Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Inna Pothireddy of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Superior officiating.
