Allan "Al" Behning

Allan “Al” Behning.  64, longtime area resident passed away at his residence on Saturday,      October 8, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 6, 1952 in Duluth, Minnesota the son of Earl and Joan (Ryan) Behning.

Allan married Cindy Nykanen on October 19, 1996 and would have celebrated 20 years of marriage this year. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Superior, WI. Allan loved camping, fishing, music and photography. He served his country in the United States Navy. Al was Terminal Manager for Twig and Proctor NGL Propane Company.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Behning, Duluth, MN; three sons, Dan, Matt and Isaac, Duluth, MN and one daughter, Amber, Duluth, MN; three grandchildren, Kiara, Lukas and Jazmyn, Duluth, MN; one sister, Diane (Gene) DeMars, Hibbing, MN and many nieces and nephews.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will began at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2022 East Second Street, Superior and will continue until the 2:00 PM Memorial Service with Pastor Victor St. George and Pastor Terrance Stratton assisting. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, in Poplar, WI.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Honor Guard.
