Allison “Al” Pearce, 67, Superior, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born on September 8, 1945 in Endicott, NY to Wilfred W. and Ida Mae (Allison) Pearce.
He graduated from high school and served his country in the United States Army for over fifteen years. He served in the Viet Nam Conflict also served in Germany before moving to Superior where he attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior and more recently served in the United States Air Force and retired career military.
He was employed with Superior Public Museums as a tour guide and enjoyed giving tours at the Fairlawn, the S.S. Meteor and the Fire House Museums.
He enjoyed sailing, building models, reading, ships, and especially spending time with his daughter Connor and also his friends.
Al was an expert marksman, enjoying guns and he had a special connection with the people at Shooters Supply.
In addition to his daughter, Connor, Al is survived by Connor’s mother, Mischelle Larson, Superior.
A Time of Remembrance and a Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the S.S. Meteor Museum on Barkers Island in Superior.
Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI at a later date.
