Amelia L. “Amy” Glonek, 93, resident of Siren, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. She was born in Superior, WI on December 17, 1930, to Isadore “Jack” and Helen (Petroski) Trianoski.
She lived in Superior most of her life, moving to Siren about four years ago, to live with her daughters Rita (Scott Allent) and Sharon Glonek.
Amy married Richard “Dick” Glonek on February 1, 1951, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Superior. They were married for 68 years prior to his death in 2019.
She was employed by the Superior School District, working as a special needs aide, both at Cooper School and then retiring from the former East Junior High School.
Amy was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Every summer she would spend a few weeks at a cabin where her family had many happy times together. Her family was blessed to be able to spend the day with her just before her passing.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sue (Terry) Johnstone, Superior, Rita (Scott Allent) Glonek, Siren, and Sharon Glonek, Siren; two grandchildren Kristy (Tyler Hildebrandt) Johnstone, Oliver, WI, and Kraig Johnstone, Superior; two great-granddaughters Kaylee Sue and Madyson Grace; sisters-in-law Marge Palumbo and Rita Trianoski; and several nieces and nephews.
Amy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Dick; sisters Bernadette Trianoski and Eileen Kunz; brother Walt Trianoski; and her parents.
Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at the St. Francis Cemetery.
