Amelia E. Hennessy

Amelia E. Hennessy, 102, Superior, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born on June 21, 1912 in Superior to Stanley and Mary (Miska) Petroski.

She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Amelia is survived by two sons, John A. Hennessy, Hudson, WI and Michael F. Hennessy, Superior; seven grandchildren, Michael (Tamara) Hennessy, Minnesota, Kim (Steve) Davis, Florida, Sean Hennessy, Florida, Mark Hennessy, Costa Rica, Paul (Teresa) Hennessy, Wisconsin, Tim (Christina) Hennessy, Minnesota, Thomas (Tracy) Hennessy, Minnesota; fourteen great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kaley, Natalie, Amanda, Melody, Erin, Mike, Amaryllis, Alexandros, Nick, Wyatt, Max, Seth and Luke; nine great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband John B. Hennessy; her parents, a brother, Daniel Petroski and a sister, Henrietta Robinson.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and will continue until the 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Leon Flaherty as celebrant.

Amelia’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care of Amelia.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Michael, Nathan, Mark, Paul, Tim and Tom Hennessy.
