Andrew "Andy" Mikrot

Andrew “Andy” Mikrot, 28, of South Range, WI, died on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN from injuries he sustained in an ATV accident. He was born on September 15, 1988 in Duluth, MN to Richard and Terri (Miller) Mikrot, Sr.

Andy graduated from Superior Senior High School in 2007 and was a logger. He worked on his uncle’s farm for a few years then had many different jobs before logging with his father and brothers. He also worked for Lake Nebagamon Trucking as a mechanic/farmhand when conditions weren’t good for logging.

He liked hunting, trapping and ATVing and enjoyed life to the fullest and was an organ donor. He also loved spending time with his niece and nephews and many close friends.

Andy is survived by his parents, Richard and Terri, South Range, WI; three brothers, Richard Mikrot Jr., South Range, WI, Phillip Mikrot, Sr. (Kelly), Maple, WI and Thomas Mikrot (Randi), South Range, WI; one sister, Angela Mikrot, (Joe), Solon Springs, WI; three nephews, Phillip Jr., Patrick and Riker Mikrot; one niece, Taylor Johnstad; paternal grandmother, Helen Mikrot and maternal grandmother, Joan Miller, both of Superior, WI.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Isadore Mikrot and maternal grandfather, Robert Miller.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5th Street, Superior and continue until the 7:00 PM funeral service with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King Church officiating.
