Andrew "Andy" John Stangland

Andrew “Andy” John Stangland, 57, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 following a brief and sudden illness. He was born July 21, 1960, the son of John E. and JoAnn (Krohn) Stangland.

He was a lifelong resident of Superior, WI, and graduated from Superior Senior High School.

Andy loved fishing, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and also gained a lot of enjoyment from his various collections. Andy will always be remembered as a dedicated Burlington Northern Railway worker

He is survived by his sisters, Joyce McDonald, Duluth, MN, June and Amy Stangland, Superior, WI; and brother, Jerry Stangland, Superior, WI; nephew, Jordon Stangland; nieces, Elizabeth and Melissa Caribou, and Heather McDonald; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his “extended family” at Burlington Northern.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer Stangland and Jessie Reigel, Grand Rapids, MN, and Esther and Ernst Krohn, Chicago, IL; parents, John and JoAnn Stangland, Superior, WI; and several aunts, uncles and cousins who were dear to the family.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM. Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior, and will continue until the 4:00 PM Memorial Service with pastor, H. Duane Aslyn officiating.
