Andrew L. Closson, 21, Superior, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

He was born on November 7, 1991 in Duluth to Richard Closson and Lori Fredrickson.

He graduated from Superior High School in 2011.

Andy loved hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. He cared about his family and friends and was a loyal friend. He loved to laugh and have fun.

He is survived by his father, Rick (Jennifer Fleischer) Closson, Gordon, WI; his mother Lori (Todd Adams) Closson, Superior; three brothers, Adam (Erica) Zielinski, Superior, Cody Closson, Superior, Keith Closson, Gordon, WI, his twin sister Brookelyn Closson, Duluth; his three stepsisters, Cynthia Romano, Gordon, Liz Schlais, Superior and Stephanie Schlais, Superior, WI; paternal grandfather, Richard Closson, Gordon; maternal grandfather, James (Kay) Fredrickson, Superior; one niece, Isabella Zielinski, Superior; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Donna Fredrickson and his paternal grandmother, Gladys Neuman.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2013 until the 12 Noon Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.

Pallbearers for the service will be Nathan Johnson, Bobby Atkinson, Jackie Ledoux, Dallas Lundy, Cole Prior and Dylan Andrews.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
