Angeline C. Timmerman, 96, lifelong Superior resident, died peacefully, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Superior March 27, 1924, the daughter of John and Rose (Furiak) Stefanko.
She was united in marriage to Leo Timmerman, August 17, 1946 and they celebrated sixty years of marriage before his passing in 2007.
Angeline was a longtime active member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church in Superior and sang in their choir for over twenty years. She was a member of St. Ann’s Circle, was a proud Senior Connections volunteer for many years, and she loved taking trips to the casino and playing Farkle with her family. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her son, John (Marguerite) Timmerman, Auburndale, WI daughter, Maureen (Ken) Hensley, of Minong, WI and Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren, David (Renee) Timmerman, Lancaster, WI, Patrick (Annie) Timmerman, Shullsburg, WI, Sarah (Don) Walentiny, Elk River, MN, Chris Timmerman, Auburndale, WI, Kim Hensley, Apple Valley, MN, and Tom (Kasha) Hensley, Maple Grove, MN; granddaughter-in-law, Jess Timmerman; great-grandchildren, Conor, Dominic, Ilee, Ashton, Anna, Peyton John, Kara Mary, Kallie Ann and Leo; sister, Dorothy Heytens, Superior, WI; sisters-in-law Georgianne Stefanko, Oshkosh, WI; Florence Soenen, Emmetsburg, Iowa; Marie (Bob) Hamerlinck, Emmetsburg, Iowa; Madeline Timmerman, Marshall, Minnesota; second “daughter” niece Mary Kay Fanetti, Eau Claire, WI; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo; son, James Timmerman (2012); grandson, Aaron Timmerman (2017); sisters, Mary, Pauline, Margaret, and Anne; brothers, Joseph “Joe”, Jim, and John Stefanko; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Stefanko, Mary Timmerman; and brothers-in-law, Bill Smith, Russell Heytens, and Gib Tyson, Archie Timmerman, Andrew Timmerman, Jerry Soenen.; niece Julie Marincel, nephews Tom Soenen and Gary Timmerman. She had quite the crowd to greet her when she arrived.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions on group gatherings, no public services will be held at this time. A service will be planned for the spring when restrictions are lifted and living has returned to a sense of normalcy.
