Ann Mary Biesiada

Ann Mary Biesiada, 102, lifelong resident of Superior, WI, died Sunday, March 13, 2022, at New Perspectives Senior Living in Superior. She was born on March 13, 1920, in Superior, WI to Joseph and Katherine (Gallenac) Winek.

Ann married Henry Biesiada in 1945 and they celebrated sixty-seven years of marriage before his passing in 2012. Ann enjoyed her years spent as a homemaker most of her life.

Ann was a volunteer at Cathedral Church for many years. She loved to travel, play cards, garden, read, put puzzles together and being around family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Henry (Arlene) Biesiada, Athens, WI; daughter, Sharon (Dennis) LaValley, Superior, WI; brother, Louis Winek, Detroit, MI; six grandchildren, Cory, Christie, Jody, Shawn, Dustin, and Becky; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ann is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry; her parents; sister, Mary Lundeen, and brother, Joseph Winek.

Ann’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to New Perspectives in Superior and to all the friends she had made there, for their wonderful care and support and for being her home for the past seven years.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, Monday, March 21, 2022, at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street, Superior, and will continue until the 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.

Pallbearers for the service will be Cory Biesiada, Shawn LaValley, Dustin LaValley, Nate LaValley, Morgan LaValley, Kyle LaValley, Jim Lundeen.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior.
