Anna Mae Routh, age 88, former Superior resident, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at home in Oulu, WI, surrounded by family. Anna was born on July 5, 1929 in Blueberry, WI, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Sharp) DeRosia.
She graduated from Superior Central High School in 1947 and later attended the Superior State Teachers College. She married Bruce Routh on October 9, 1948 in Superior. They celebrated 69 years of marriage. Anna was an active member of St Anthony Catholic Church in Superior for sixty-six years. For ten years she served as secretary for the Wisconsin Bee Keepers Association.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce; five daughters, Karen (Darryl) Helenius, Carol (Mike) Thomson, Dana (Dan) Olson, Rhonda (Tom) Miller and Jane (Peter) Moe; one son, Dean Routh; twenty-one grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Helen Wolfe, Lois Langfitt, Dorothy Scott and Rose Marie Ranthum; two brothers, William DeRosia and James (Carrie) DeRosia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Donald and Mark; sisters, Bernadine Sletten, Margaret DeRosia, Theresa Crane, Patricia Gough, Loretta Greer, Rita Marie DeRosia and Barbara Wahl; brothers, Eugene DeRosia and Richard DeRosia.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 28, 2018 at St Anthony Catholic Church, 4315 East Third Street, Superior, WI and will continue until the 12:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Adam Laski and Rev. Fr. Dean Buttrick to concelebrate the Mass. Burial will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at St Francis Cemetery, Superior, WI.
