Tony Bell, age 62, St. Paul resident, passed away peacefully at his brother Ducky’s house waiting for the Packer/Viking game to start on September 16, 2018.
He was born on April 3, 1956 to Carol and Fred Bell. He was raised in the North End of Superior, WI and graduated from SSHS in 1974. He moved to St. Paul and worked as chief boiler engineer at 3M for 28 years. He was dedicated, hardworking and a person one could rely on to get the job done.
Tony was a proponent of health and fitness. He was a phenomenal athlete during his high school years which carried through to adulthood. He enjoyed the gym and loved working out. He would spend 5 hours a day, 6 days a week in the gym. Tony was a natural bodybuilder and won many competitions throughout his life, including Mr. Natural MN. He took 1st in his height class and won overall. He became a personal trainer and shared his love of fitness with others to help them achieve their personal goals.
Tony was an avid Packer fan and collector of comic books. He was fun-loving, kind and generous. Tony would always approach any task with full gusto and lived life by one of his favorite mottos, “No R.Q.S.” (No Retreat, Quit, Surrender) He will be missed greatly by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol “Jeannie” Bell; brothers, Fred “Mickey” Bell and Earl Bell; and nephew T.J. Bell.
He is survived by his siblings, Donald “Ducky” Bell, John Bell (Keyetta) and Pamila Bell; nieces Nicole Jensen (David), Katie Bell; and nephew, Troy Bell, in addition to numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Cremation Society of Minnesota,1979 Old Hudson Rd., St. Paul, MN 55119.
