Arlyn "Al" G. Leeper

Arlyn “Al” G. Leeper, 82, Superior resident, died and went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Superior Rehabilitation Center. He was born on May 16, 1936 in Lamar, CO to Joseph A. and Olive (Wright) Leeper.

He graduated from high school and went on to receive his BA degree in Counseling. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp serving in Camp Pendleton, CA. Al married Birgitta “Gitta” Linder on June 11, 1983 and they celebrated thirty-two years of marriage before her passing in February 2016. He was an administrator for chemical dependency for Duluth Bethel Society for many years. He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church in Superior. He also was a member of AA. He enjoyed traveling, reading, boating and motorcycling with his wife Gitta.

Al is survived by his daughter, Jody Belle Leeper; three nieces, Rene Peterson, Denver, CO, Tange Taylor, Bend, OR and Marla Mackey, Louisville, TX; mother-in-law, Inger Linder, Superior, WI; three brothers-in-law, John (Judy) Linder and their son, Chris, Ron Linder and Kent (Bonnie) Linder, all of Superior, WI. He is preceded in death by his wife, Gitta, sister, Joella Mallia and his parents.

The family would like to thank the staff at Essentia Health Hospice, Solvay Hospice House and Superior Rehabilitation Center for their kind and compassionate care given to Al.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Central Assembly of God Church and continue until the 11:00 AM memorial service.
