Arthur P. Baker, 82, of Superior, Wisconsin, passed away on Dec. 23, 2024, in Duluth, Minnesota. Born in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy before beginning a long career as a facilities engineer.
Art had an uncanny ability to build, fix, and maintain just about anything, always tackling problems with persistence and ingenuity. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with Joan Baker, his wife and best friend of 57 years.
He is survived by Joan; three children, Katherine Kramer, Mary Van Oss, and John Baker; four siblings, Lillian Baker, Rose Misco, Helen Seidl, and Cliff Baker; and five grandchildren, Toby Jarvais, Ben Van Oss, Melanie Van Oss, Isaac Baker, and Emily Baker.
Art was preceded in death by his brothers Don Baker and Jerry Baker, and his sister, Carol Zabel.
His devotion to his wife, family, and hard work will forever be cherished.
