Artimese "Arti" M. Kastern

Artimese (Arti) Mary Kastern, longtime resident of South Range, WI, died peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021 in Queen Creek, AZ.  She was born in Superior, WI on October 24, 1943 to LeRoy and Mary (Stein) Custard.

Over the years, Arti helped her husband, Butch, with the many different businesses that they had.  Some of those businesses include:  Kastern Heating, A & B Amusement, a photo business in Las Vegas and a slot machine business in Florida.  Prior to joining forces with her husband, Arti worked as a bookkeeper in Duluth, MN.

Arti is survived by her daughters, Vicki Kressin, Duluth, MN and Liann Schneider, Ostego, MN: son, Richard Kressin, Superior, WI; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice (Jack) Johnstad, South Range, WI, and Sharon White, South Range, WI; several nieces, nephews, and special friends, Rick and Kelly.  There is also her pug, Rosie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Butch Kastern; brothers, Joseph Custard, Francis Custard, and Thomas Custard.

A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Arti's Life will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 6th, 2021 at Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Ave, Superior.
