Audrey T. Flagstad

Audrey T. Flagstad, 86, longtime Superior resident, died on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 20, 1929 in Superior, WI to Walter and Fedelis (Rehl) Drinkwine.

Audrey was a longtime member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church.

She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, gardening, bike riding and listening to big band/orchestras. She grew up spending summers at the family cabin at Robinson Lake in Eau Claire, WI and she also loved spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren.

Audrey married Lewis Flagstad on January 31, 1953 and they celebrated sixty-three years of marriage.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Lewis; two sons, Tom (Megan) Flagstad, Duluth, MN and Steve (Melissa) Flagstad, Superior, WI; nine grandchildren, Leah (Adam) Zubich, Beth Flagstad, Renee (Jeremy) Nygard, Caleb Flagstad, Ashley (Josh) Stone, Kestra and Lily Anderson, Amy (Joe) Chybowski and Eric (Sara) Flagstad; six great-grandchildren, Logan, Lucy, Ruby, Lily, Julianne and Nora; one brother, Andrew (Joyce) Drinkwine, Superior, WI and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church, 1111 Belknap Street, Superior and continue until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Superior.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Audrey’s name to the Activity Fund at Villa Marina.
