Ayla Marie Essen

Ayla Marie Essen, infant daughter of Joshawa and Alicia Essen was born at 21 weeks old on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:17 PM at the Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She weighed 11 oz and was 10 inches long. Ayla’s family was blessed with 25 minutes with Ayla, before she went to her heavenly home at 11:42 pm.

Ayla experienced holding hands with her mommy and daddy, hugs and kisses, listening as her mommy and daddy being told “I love you” an uncountable account of times. Ayla will always remain her parents’ precious baby and Braxton’s little sister, and they will hold her again in heaven one day.

Ayla is deeply loved by her mommy and daddy; big brother Braxton; her maternal grandmother, Dorinda Janz, Gordon, WI; paternal grandfather, Brad Essen, Solon Springs, WI; maternal aunt and uncle, Alayna and Michael Burger, Superior, WI; paternal uncles, Derek (Amanda Guenther) Essen and Travis Essen, all of Solon Springs, WI, her cousins and many others. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gary Janz and paternal grandmother Katherine Essen.
Private family services were held in Superior, WI.
