Barbara D. Anderson, 77, Superior, died Friday, August 06, 2010 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth, MN.

She was born on July 31, 1933 in Prentice, WI to Edwin J. and Florence (Neil) Anderson.

She married George H. Anderson on August 1, 1953 and they celebrated forty-one years of marriage before he passed away on July 11, 1995.

Barbara was employed as a certified nursing assistant for the former Chaffey Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Nebagamon and the church’s women’s group, the Eastern Star, Red Hat Society and the Old Town Travelers.

She enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Steve (Barbara) Anderson, Lake Nebagamon, WI, Scott Anderson, Superior; one brother, Neal (Ann) Anderson, Green Bay, WI; three grandchildren, Jill Anderson, Lake Nebagamon, WI, Eric (Beka) Anderson, Superior, Hunter Anderson, Superior and one great-grandson, Conner Anderson.

In addition to her husband George, she is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Thursday, August 12, 2010 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon, WI. Pastor Darrell Kyle will officiate.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Barbara’s family would like to extend their thanks to the entire staff at St. Luke’s Hospice for their care and compassion.
