Barbara Ann Bednar

Barbara Ann Bednar, 82, longtime area resident, died peacefully Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born in the Twin Cities, August 16, 1938, the daughter of Robert L. and Abby (Nelson) Lee.

Barb was united in marriage to Marvin Bednar, and together, they owned and operated Marv’s Mobil and Bednar Oil Co. in Solon Springs.

Barb was a longtime member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Solon Springs. She enjoyed crafting and doing word puzzles. Above all, Barb was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Rob) Gustafson, Wascott, WI, and Barbara Kangas, Jacksonville, FL; son, Peter Leone, Lake Nebagamon; grandchildren, Angela (John) Myers, Valerie (Mike) Russell, Stephanie Wegner, Joseph (Sara) Gustafson, Heather Wegner, and Nicole Wegner; twelve great-grandchildren; and sisters, Donna Baylis, and Roberta Daggy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; daughter, Suzanne Bednar-Munsell; and her parents.

No public services will be held.
