Barbara Ann Carlson, 72, resident of Superior, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at her home. She was born in Chippewa Falls, WI on February 23, 1953, the daughter of Dwayne Kane and LaVaun Miller.
She graduated from Northwestern High School in the class of 1971. Barb worked as a care giver at Rural Living Environments in Babbit, MN for over ten years.
Barbara’s faith in the Lord was very important to her as she often sought his presence in morning sunrises and evening sunsets.
In her free time, Barb enjoyed watching her cooking shows and being outdoors. She mostly loved being with her family, especially having movie nights and getting Chinese takeout. She also enjoyed her occasional snit of black cherry Windsor or Crown Royal and drinking a few beers around a campfire. She was our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her mother LaVaun; daughter Theresa (Steve) Clemmer; son Michael (Bonnie) Carlson; grandchildren Cameron (Maddy) Clemmer, Katy (Logan) Bayard, Jacob (Chloe) Carlson, Pearl (Taylor) Carlson, James (George) Clemmer, Daniel Clemmer, Elizabeth Clemmer, and Rhonda Clemmer; great-grandson Walker Carlson; siblings Max Kane, Cherry Golembiewski, Doreen (Steve) Brorby, Doraine (Mark) Briggs, Michael (Starrie) Kane, Ray (Anna) Kane, and Allen Hahn; faithful canine companion Mona; and several nieces and nephews.
Barb is preceded in death by her father Dwayne Kane, brother Melvin Doyle Kane; great nephew Tyler Balscik, and brother-in-law Craig Golembiewski
A Celebration of Barb's Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Log Cabin Tavern, 2821 Cty. Rd. E in South Range.
