Barbara Clinton, 82, longtime Iron River area resident, died peacefully Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior, WI. She was born in Williamsport, PA, August 19, 1937, the daughter of John and Thelma (Herring) Hoffnagle.
Barb was an active member of the Iron River community. She served with the volunteer ambulance crew for nearly twenty years. She worked with area auctioneers and owned and operated Barb’s This ‘n That variety store for many years.
Barb loved all things Christmas and collected Santa Clauses big and small. Her outdoor Christmas decorations were a true work of art. Barb was also an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved to cheer for the Green and Gold.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri (Tom) Rozell, Lake Nebagamon, WI; son, Scott (Dolly) Clinton, of Kentucky; grandson, Chris Clinton, of Kentucky; granddaughters, Candace (Nick) Stariha, Lake Nebagamon, WI, and Jennifer (Ryan) Ducart, Eau Claire, WI; great-granddaughters, Natasha and Isabelle Stariha, Lake Nebagamon, WI, and Ellison Ducart, Eau Claire, WI.
She is preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Frank Clinton; longtime companion, Frank Kongas; son, Mark Clinton; daughter, Stacy Clinton; and great-grandson, Seth Stariha.
A Celebration of Barb’s Life will be held from 1:00-4:00 PM, Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Iron River Community Center, 8275 East Mill Street, Iron River, WI.
Should friends desire, Green Bay Packer attire is welcomed. Wear your green and gold in Barb’s memory.
