Barbara "Bobby" Doherty

Beloved aunt, Barbara (Bobby) Doherty passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022 in Superior, WI aged 87. Barbara, born March 23, 1935, was a lifelong resident of Superior.

She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Maime Doherty and the third youngest of 9 siblings. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Fern (Floyd) Hanson, Frances (Howard) Fox, Phyllis (Leo) Anderson, Judith (George) Kornstad, Margaret Doherty, and brothers Thomas Doherty, James (Beverly) Doherty, and Henry Doherty.

She attended local Superior schools and completed her education at the Wisconsin State College in Superior, WI.

Her chosen career was that of elementary school teacher for the School District of Superior. She dedicated her life to the teaching profession and the education of local school children retiring in 1995.

Barbara remained very close to her siblings and family throughout her life. She is survived by her sister Margery Doherty of St Paul, MN and extended Doherty family.

Per her request no services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes memorial contributions to be made to Cathedral School, 1419 Baxter Ave, Superior, WI.
