Barbara Jean Moore

Barbara Jean Moore, 82, resident of Esko, MN, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, with her loving family by her side, at Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN.

She was born in Duluth on April 8, 1942, the daughter of Leo and Mary (Amatuzio) Kolenda.

Barb graduated from Denfeld High School in class of 1960. Soon after, Barb began her career working for the well-known Paulucci family in Duluth. She was a very hard-working and dedicated housekeeper for over forty years!

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, and will be dearly missed by her children, Denise Scott, Gene (Denise) Rajala, and Patrick Manning; grandchildren Justin, Ryan, Riley, Elizabeth, Kalie, Josie, Deron, and Missy; great-grandchildren Anelli, Elias, Elydia, Marley, Reigny, Gavin, Grady, Geno, Gillian, and Roman; brother Joseph Kolenda; sister-in-law Mary Kolenda; special friend Rhonda Mundle; canine companions Yoda and Elsa; and many nieces and nephews.

Barb is preceded in death by her parents; brother Leroy Kolenda; and great-granddaughter Elionna.

A Private Family Service will be held.
