Barbara Anne (Revoy) Tomczak, 79, died peacefully on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Essential Health Miller Dwan Hospital in Duluth, MN. Barbara was born on December 18, 1942, in Superior, daughter to Ferdinand “Fred” and Hannah (Wenker) Revoy.
Barbara graduate from Superior Cathedral High School with the class of 1960.
She was united in marriage to Chuck Tomczak on June 12, 1965. In 2021 they celebrated 56 years of marriage prior to her passing.
Barbara started her working career as an office assistant at Superior Lidgerwood Mundy Company in Superior, WI from 1960-65 before taking a break to start and help raise her family. She did return back to work as an office assistant for the City of Superior and for Minnesota Power in Duluth, MN before she hung up her hat in 1995… or so she thought. Her love of working with children and education was her foundation that brought her back to work with the School District of Superior for over twenty years as a teacher’s assistant as well as other various positions.
Barbara was very active in her community with singing in the choir (Dorothy’s Redocats) and assisting with other church events at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Superior; regularly hosting Bunco social dice parties; marching in parades with the VFW Drum and Bugle Marching Corp; regularly attending the Busy Bodies club (Laurel & Hardy super fans); and actively involved with her high school reunion planning committee. She absolutely loved food and going out to eat. Barbara loved socializing with those wherever she went… in many ways, she was the party. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Barbara enjoyed serving as the “news anchor” by providing updates on the family and Superior happenings to her children and others. She is renowned for her “world famous hot dog potato soup” and has touched many with her “taco salad”.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Tomczak; children, Douglas (Alison King) Tomczak, Miami, FL, Daniel (Deborah) Tomczak, Cary, NC, Joseph (Heather) Tomczak, Eveleth, MN, and Renee (Arthur) Evans, Swansboro, NC; six grandchildren, Nathaniel, John, Olivia, Noah, Joshua, and Greyson; brothers, David Revoy, Superior, WI and James (Carol) Revoy, of Omaha, NE; and several nephews.

However, the family will be planning a Celebration of Life ceremony for this summer in Superior with a larger group of family and friends to help celebrate the beautiful life of our wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, or “Mrs. T.”
