Barney Wallenstein

Barney Wallenstein, 84, lifelong Superior resident, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 in Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chisholm, MN. He was born on June 24, 1925 in Superior to Bernard E. and Irene F. (Ferguson) Wallenstein.
He was employed at Bridgeman's for many years and also at the Challenge Center Senior Program in Superior.
Barney was a former member of Cathedral of Christ the King.
He is survived by one sister, Joan (Dr. Joseph) Kelly, Longboat Key, FL; nieces and nephew, Dr. Sarah Kelly, Mystic, CT, Dr. Ryan Kelly, Chisholm, MN, Kathryn Kelly Noun, Minneapolis, MN; three great-nieces and four great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jack.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass on Friday, August 7, 2009 in Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci will be celebrant.
Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
