Beatrice "Betty" E. Hofstedt

Beatrice “Betty” E. Hofstedt, 90, Superior resident, died Thursday, June 28, 2018 surrounded by her family at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN. She was born on September 19, 1927 in Lake Nebagamon, WI to William and Marjorie (Jondreau) Rowe.

She married Raymond Hofstedt on September 11, 1970 and they had celebrated twenty four years of marriage before his passing in July 1995.

Betty was a member of the Teamsters Retirees. She was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. She loved to bake and was famous for her fudge and homemade jam and jelly.

Betty is survived by three daughters, Carol Dubois, Roseburg, OR, Denise Finley, Eden Prairie, MN and Sheila (Mario Pino) Hofstedt, Albuquerque, New Mexico; two sons, Larry (LaDonna) Yadon, Mimbres, New Mexico and Michael Hofstedt, Chippewa Falls, WI; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Blanche Jacobson, Poplar, WI, Donna Brevig and Dorothy (Paul) Wedan, both of Superior, WI and Grace (Wally) Hecker, Sheboygan, WI; and one brother, Jim (Janet) Rowe, Solon Springs, WI.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Roscoe Yadon, second husband, Raymond Hofstedt, infant daughter Arlane, sisters, Clara Smith and Frances Harvey and children, Nancy Homan and Bruce Hofstedt.

A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 East 5 ^th Street, Superior, with a Service of Remembrance to begin at 3:00 PM with Pastor H. Duane Aslyn officiating.

Burial will be in Lake Nebagamon Cemetery.
