Benjamin James Sherwood, 39, of Mountain Iron, MN, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 11, 2025. He was born in Mesa, AZ on April 11, 1985, the son of Father, Jim Sherwood, and Mother, Constance Sherwood.
Ben graduated from Mesa High School in 2003 and went on to become a website designer and business consultant for one of the largest domain registry and web hosting company’s, GoDaddy.
On December 12, 2009, he wed his soul mate Jacqueline (Garrey) Sherwood in Coronado Island, CA. They celebrated 15 years together before his passing.
The best part of Minnesota for Ben was the snow. He loved the winter, the hiking trails around Mountain Iron, and the lakes. He was skilled in martial arts, particularly the form known as Kenpo. He was a student and instructor at Duke Self Defense in Mesa, AZ for over 20 years.
Most of all, Ben was an amazing husband and father. His family was first and foremost in his life. Spending time with his children and wife was the highlight of his day. He adored playing games with Emma, letting her paint his nails while he worked, and learning new choreography from her. He loved tickling Aaron while he screamed in laughter. Surprising his wife with “just because” flowers was his favorite thing to do for her.
Ben is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Sherwood; children Tatum, Emma and Aaron; parents Jim (Constance) Sherwood; brothers Jason Sherwood and James Sherwood; grandparents; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his faithful canine companion, Bruno.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Sun Valley Community Church, 456 E. Ray Road, Gilbert, AZ, 85296.
