Bernard Parzych

Bernard "Barney" Parzych, 81, Superior, died Sunday, November 22, 2009 in the Golden Living Center of Superior. He was born on October 8, 1928 in Superior to Joseph and Mary Parzych.
He served his country in the United States Army.
Barney married Mary Anne Deiser in Superior on March 4, 1957 and celebrated fifty-two years of marriage.
He was employed as a yardman for Simko Metal Yard for many years.
Barney was a longtime member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church and the Thomas F. Stein VFW Post #1091.
In addition to his wife Mary Anne, Barney is survived by one daughter Jackie (Barry) Beaumont, Duluth, MN; three grandchildren, John and Toni Parzych and Bo Tadevich, all of Duluth and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Stanley, Walter, Dom and Joe Parzych.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 with a Rosary Service conducted by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court 1190 in Holy Assumption Catholic Church. Visitation will continue until 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Ronald Olson as celebrant.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Thomas F. Stein VFW Post #1091 and the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435 Combine Color guard.
Pallbearers for the service will be Bill Blume, Scott Lawrence, John Parzych, Bo Tadevich, John Marro and Rick LaBlanc.
