Bette A. Nollet, 69, South Range, died Monday, November 29, 2010 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth, MN.
She was born on July 22, 1941 in Superior to William and Alice (Christensen) Lintula.
She graduated from Northwestern High School in Maple and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Bette married Gerald Nollet on July 1, 1961 in Superior and would have celebrated fifty years of marriage in July 2011.
She was employed with the State of Wisconsin as a Home Craft Instructor with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, for twenty-seven years before retiring in 1994.
Bette loved traveling, four wheeling, motorcycling, craft work and working on puzzles.
In addition to her husband Gerald, Bette is survived by three sons, Chris Nollet, South Range, Jason Nollet, South Range, Gregory (Angela) Nollet, Brule, WI; six grandchildren, Joshua Rose, MacKenzie Savage, Sarah Berndt, Laura Berndt, Jacob Nollet and Lillian Nollet; two sisters, Joyce Darker, South Range, Shirley Johnson, Cloquet, MN; several nieces and nephews and by many who considered Bette as “Mom”.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM Thursday, December 2, 2010 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home and will continue at 12 Noon on Friday, December 3, 2010 until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service also in the funeral home.
Pastor Sarah Kerkes of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will officiate.
Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Lakeside, WI.
Pallbearers for the service will be Mark Nollet, Byron Nollet, Wayne Watsick, Wendy (Watsick) Omundson, Kim Pioro, Josh Rose and Sherry and Mike Friend.
