Betty L. Mccormick

Betty L. McCormick, 72, resident of Spooner, WI, died peacefully, Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN with family by her side. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, July 5, 1948, the daughter of Louis and Bette (Bergquist) Leibly. She graduated from Oak Creek High School, and worked as an Administrative Assistant for many years before her retirement. Betty was united in marriage to Duane “Mac” McCormick.

Betty had a great love for horses and her chihuahuas. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, reading, playing cards, a good fish fry and going to Las Vegas.

She is survived by her brothers, Bill (Dawn) Leibly, and Ron (Shari) Leibly; sisters, Joanne (Bill) Melcher, Mary (Jim) Debbout, Sue (Mike Polacheck) Kurszewski, and Judy (Kevin Kleppin) Bergquist; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; and brothers, Louis Leibly and Joseph Leibly.

Per Betty’s wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.
