Betty J. Reinert, 72, longtime area resident died peacefully, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at her daughter’s home in Poplar surrounded by her family.

She was born in Pennsylvania on August 11, 1938, the daughter of Howard and Lila (Kemp) Freeby.

Betty married her husband Dennis on March 17, 1956 and celebrated over forty-three years of marriage before his passing on November 11, 1999.

Betty was employed by the Maple School District at Northwestern High School in Maple for many years as a cook and custodian.

Betty enjoyed going to breakfast with friends and family.

She also enjoyed playing bingo at the Amnicon Senior Citizens Center in Wentworth, WI.

Betty was a member of the Lake Nebagamon Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann (Thomas) Schnepper, Poplar; four sisters, Grace (Paul) Gruber, Lenhartsville, PA, Shirley (Richard) Derr, Mertztown, PA, Marian Dietrich, Kutztown, PA and Nancy (Daryl) Schadler,Topton, PA; two brothers, Howard (Shirley) Freeby, Jr., Kutztown, PA, and Kerry (Judy) Freeby, Alburtis, PA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Reinert; her parents and one infant son.

Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM until the 12:00 Noon Memorial Service on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at the Lake Nebagamon Presbyterian Church.

Pastor Joel Huenemann, of United Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
