Beverly J. Hanson

Beverly J. Hanson, 90, Superior resident, died Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth, MN. She was born on October 12, 1928 in Superior, WI to Elmer and Orma L. (Wenzel) Canty.

Beverly married LeRoy Hanson on March 5, 1947 and they recently celebrated seventy-two years of marriage. She was an active member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church and helped serve funeral luncheons. Beverly worked at Connolly’s Bakery for many years. She also was a crossing guard for Superior School District and previously had worked at Jeno’s in Duluth. What Beverly enjoyed most in life were family get togethers and picnics.

Beverly is survived by her husband, LeRoy; son, Jeff (Judy) Hanson, Superior, WI; daughters, Phyllis (Rick) Johnson, FL and Barbara (Ditto) Fairbanks, Superior, WI; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; sisters, RoyAnn Killoren, Superior, WI and Kathy Korhonen, Poplar, WI and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, son LeRoy Hanson, Jr., daughter-in-law Judy Hanson, brother David Killoren and sister Deloris Hopkins.

A private family service will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior.
