Beverly Jane Jamison

June 2, 1934 — February 4, 2016

Beverly Jane Jamison, a resident of Solon Springs died Thursday morning Feb 4, 2016 after a short battle with illness, at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on June 2, 1934 in Chetek, WI to Romain and Nina Brunett/ Darge.

She graduated from the former St. Croix High School.

She married Jim Jamison on December 17, 1960 at her parent’s home in Solon Springs and celebrated fifty-five years of marriage. After marrying Jim, Bev adopted Jimmy and Debbie and quickly began her life as a wife and mother. In November of 1961 they welcomed their son, Bradley Romain into the world and moved from their little house by the ballpark to the family home between Wester's and the Lutheran Church.

Their youngest daughter, Shelley Sue was born January of 1969.

For over thirty years, Bev cared for their home and children while Jim worked as an engineer on the great lakes.

She had a great love for writing and was able to accomplish one of her many dreams by publishing her book "Widow of The Waves" in 1994.

Bev survived many losses in her life, always relying on her faith in the Lord to carry her through.

Bev was a longtime member of the House of Hope Church in Lake Nebagamon. She served on the state and local board of Child Evangelism for over forty years. Bev will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She had previously also been a bookkeeper with Campbell Motors in Superior and Don Johnson Motors in Rice Lake, WI. Bev also worked for Sears & Roebuck in Los Angeles, CA. Before moving back to Solon Springs to accept a job with the phone company where she met her husband Jim. Bev was a member of the “Over The Hill Gang” and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

She was a very special woman whose personality touched all that met her and was greatly loved by all who knew her and forever remembered for her hugs.

Bev is survived and greatly missed by her husband of fifty-five years Jim, son, Brad (Kathy) Jamison; daughter, Shelley Banks; grandchildren, Matt, Mike and Katy Jamison, Kaylie Knase, Megan and Taylor Jamison, Emily (Tim) McHugh, Russell and Jeannyne Beverly Banks; great- grandchildren, John and Hazel McHugh and Karoline Beverly Banks; sister- in- law, Alberta Brunett and many nieces and nephews that meant the world to her. Bev is also survived by her special grandchildren, Amber (Mike) Hebel, Courtney and Tyler Garvey.

Bev was proceeded in death by her parents Nina Brunett/Darge, Romain Brunett, Otto Darge, brothers Robert Brunett, Romain (Muggs) Brunett, son James Jamison Jr., daughter Debra Jamison, and grandson Darrin Stevens, son- in-law Scott Banks.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the House of Hope Church in Lake Nebagamon formerly known as the Lake Nebagamon Baptist Church and continue until the 1:00 PM memorial service. John Raimo and Chad Cracraft will co-officiate the service.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers for the service will be "The Over The Hill Gang" lifelong friends, Kay Pollock, JoAnn Alto, Dar Flamang, Donna Lucas, Dorothy Rydberg and her special friend Carol Gehl.
