Beverly A. Miller

December 5, 1942 — January 28, 2025

Beverly Anne Miller, 82, lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at home in Lake Nebagamon, WI, with family by her side.
She was born in Superior, WI on December 5, 1942, the daughter of Roy and Delores (Carlson) Nelson.

Beverly was a graduate of Northwestern High School, class of 1961, and went on to further her education, earning her degree in nursing and selflessly dedicating her life to the care of others. She began her career in nursing at the former St. John’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN, before venturing back to the Twin Ports area, working as an RN for both St. Luke’s Hospital and the former St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
She also spent time working with youth as a Summer Camp Nurse, in Ely, MN.

Beverly and Bruce Miller were united in marriage on June 27, 1964, at Peace Lutheran Church in Poplar, WI, and they celebrated sixty years of marriage before her passing.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon, where she was baptized and cultivated a strong faith and a great love for the Lord that she carried through life. She was a lifelong active member of the church, serving as the church organist/pianist, attending, and playing for countless services and funerals over the years.

Beverly was an avid gardener and a gifted quilter, though her greatest joy was in spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, a doting mother, and cherished grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce Miller, Lake Nebagamon, WI; daughters, Beth (Jon) Lindberg, Lake Nebagamon, WI, and Rebecca (Scott) Burch, Williamsburg, VA; grandchildren, Jordan (Tyler) Banks, Nicolette Lindberg (Kyle See-Rockers), all of Minneapolis, MN, and Rachel and Andrew Burch, of
Williamsburg, VA; brothers, David (Mary) Nelson, La Crosse, WI, and Robert (Mary) Nelson, Virginia, MN; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
