Beverly “Bev” Jean Scully, 88, longtime Superior resident, died Monday, March 29, 2021 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior, WI. She was born on October 28, 1932 in Fergus Falls, MN to Wellington and Minnie (Swenson) Hansen.
She graduated from high school in Elbow Lake, MN and from St. Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN where she sang with the choir. Bev was the owner/operator of Bob’s Drive In and Eddie’s Supper Club and prior to that she was a telephone operator. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was the organist for many years and was very active in the WELCA group. She loved to play bridge with her many friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
Bev is survived by her niece, Michele Frovarp, Carlos, MN and nephews, Mike (Melissa) Johnson and Mark Johnson, both of Osakis, MN.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Tefft, her second husband, James Scully; sons, Jeffrey and Douglas Tefft and daughter, Brenda Tefft and sister, Wanda (Harold) Norris.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2022 E. 2 nd Street, Superior, and will continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service with Pastor Victor St. George officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Superior, WI. Pallbearers for the service will be Cole Johnson, Michael Lurndahl, Kent Verner, Chris VanValkenburg, Paul Freer and Gary Dunning.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made in Bev's name to Zion Lutheran Church.
