Bradley Barsness

Bradley Barsness, 50, Wentworth, died peacefully in his sleep at home, on Monday, March 10, 2014.

He was born on June 12, 1963 in Superior to Billie and Helen (Burhans) Barsness.

Off and on throughout the years, Brad worked at the family owned gas station, Barsness Spur, Wentworth. He had also been employed at Wentworth Lumber Company and held various pipeline jobs. For the last seven years he worked for United Piping, Inc.

Brad loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, snowmobiling and cutting wood.

He attended Mission Covenant Church, was a member of the Wisconsin Labor Union #1091, and volunteered with the Amnicon Volunteer Fire Department.

Brad is survived by two sons, Billie Barsness, Superior, Bryce Barsness, Wentworth; one daughter, Brooke Barsness, Wentworth; two sisters, Terry (George) Petzold, Wentworth, Brenda Moniot, Maple; many nieces and nephews; his stepfather, DuWayne (Nancy) Savage, Wentworth and former wife and friend, Patti Barsness, Lake Nebagamon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Barsness and Helen Barsness-Savage and a sister, Robin Kastern.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 in the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home.

Visitation will continue at 10:00 AM and will continue until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Mission Covenant Church with Pastor Darrell Nelson, officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.

Pallbearers for the service will be Beau Moniot, Cole Moniot, Jeffrey Burhans, Jr., Ryan Satter, Nickolas Barnard and Edwin Koepp.  Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Burhans, Brett Zinmer and Brian Stockinger.

Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
