Brent John Marconett

Brent John Marconett, 47, longtime resident of Duluth, MN, formerly of Cook, died, Wednesday, June 13, 2018 surrounded by his family at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth. He was born in Groton, CT, October 25, 1970, the son of John and Yvonne J. (Pennington) Marconett.

He attended high school in Cook, MN, later relocating to Duluth where he was a self-employed contractor for many years.

Brent married the love of his life, Melissa Eng, on February 28, 2008, and they celebrated ten years of marriage before his passing.

Brent enjoyed golfing and fishing. He also loved Lake Superior and his serenity drives down Park Point.

Brent was a loyal man who loved fiercely with everything he had. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Melissa Marconett, Duluth, MN; son, Evan (Kaitlyn Swenson) Fuhr; granddaughter, Kali; father, John (Jane) Marconett, Cook, MN; step-son, Denon Perrin, Duluth, MN; step-daughter, Serese Perrin, Superior, WI; step-granddaughters, Ava and Aurora; brother, Zach (Rochelle Hinrichs) Marconett, Buffalo, MN; sister, Channing (Rick) Pennington Davenport, Elon, NC; step-brothers, Jason (Jenny) Panichi, Cook, MN and Jess (Laura) Panichi, Duluth, MN; mother-in-law, Deb Eng, Hermantown, MN; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Yvonne Joyce Pennington; father-in-law, Doug Eng; sister-in-law, Jodee Eng; grandmother, Helen McBride; and his faithful K-9 companion, Griff.

A Celebration of Brent’s Life will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior, with a Service of Remembrance at 5:00 PM. Pastor Phil Lutz will officiate.
