Brett E. Blomquist

Brett E. Blomquist, 55, Superior resident, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born on January 29, 1963 in Superior, WI to Robert and Patricia (Newman) Blomquist, Sr.

He graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1981.Brett worked as a laborer for Waste Management for many years. He previously worked various other jobs including J.C. Penneys, Prange Way, Cove and Casablanca.

Brett is survived by one son, Michael Bolts, Superior, WI; two daughters, Jamie Gemmel, Westminster, CO and Amber Blomquist, Superior, WI; four grandchildren; girlfriend, Tammy Stalvig, Superior, WI; his father, Robert (Marilyn) Blomquist, Sr.; his mother, Patricia Pawlikowski; one brother, Robert (Colleen) Blomquist, Jr., all of Superior, WI; one sister, Lori Beheng, Alexandria, MN; one stepbrother, James Sanders; two stepsisters, Kristi Conley and Kari Beckwell, all of Superior, WI and several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eino and Helen Blomquist; maternal grandparents, Gertrude and Evert Anttila, brother-in-law Michael Beheng and stepdad James Pawlikowski.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home, 1209 E. 5 ^th Street, Superior and continue until the 3:00 PM funeral service with Pastor David Schoessow of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Everrest Cemetery in Waino, WI.
