Carl W. Cordts, 90, longtime Patzau and Superior area resident, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Superior Rehabilitation Center in Superior. He was born on May 12, 1927 in Washburn, WI to Fred and Edna (Worseck) Cordts.
Carl served his country in the United States Army in the motor pool while stationed in Germany.
He married Crystal Logee on January 15,1949 and would have celebrated sixty-nine years of marriage.
He was an engineer for the Burlington Northern Railroad, retiring after thirty-five years of service.
Carl was a jack of all trades. He built a camper on the back of a pickup, built a burm home and worked on anything that needed fixing. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and trapping.
Carl is survived by his wife, Crystal; son, Rodney (Margaret) Cordts, Superior, WI; daughter, Karen Kempton, Minnetonka, MN; four grandchildren, Amy, Christina, Keith and Brian; five great-grandchildren; brothers Fred Cordts, Lake Dowling, WI and Lori “Butch” Cordts, Minnesuing, WI.
He is preceded in death by daughter Susan Cordts.
A Time of Remembrance and Celebration of Carl’s Life will be held at a later date.
