Carl Malmquist

Carl Malmquist, 59, Superior resident, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. Francis in the Park, Superior.

He was born on March 30, 1952 in Superior, WI to Karl and Lucille Malmquist.

Carl was a Great Lakes Seaman for eleven years sailing with US Steel.
He also worked for the former Library and Zona Rosa Restaurants for many years.

He married Gloria Thompson on February 21, 1997 and recently celebrated fourteen years of marriage.

Carl attended Central Assembly of God in Superior.
He loved gardening and flowers and enjoyed driving his car.

Carl is survived by his wife, Gloria; sister, Patty (Sonny) Herman, of MO and his father, Karl (Pat) Malmquist, Superior.

He is preceded in death by his mother Lucille.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 8, 2011 in Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior and continue until the 10:30 AM Funeral Service with Pastor Tom Miller of Central Assembly of God officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
