Carol Ann Nordswen

Carol Ann Nordswen, 80, Superior resident, died Friday, August 21, 2020 at Superior Rehabilitation Center in Superior, WI. She was born on July 4, 1940 in Ashtabula, OH to Albert “Al” and Nicolina “Lena” (Ballo) Nordswen.

Carol graduated from Franklin School and went on to attend Superior Vocational School. She later worked on the line at Jeno’s Inc. for many years.

In her younger years, she was a talented figure skater and enjoyed bike riding around the neighborhood. Later, Carol enjoyed puzzle books, taking care of her beloved birds Mork and Mindy and little dog Dody, watching re-runs of her favorite TV shows, and visiting with friends and relatives.

Carol is survived by two nieces, Billie Jo Gunderson, Lake Nebagamon, WI and Lisa (Nicholas) Whelan, Brule, WI; three nephews, Bob Anderson, Foxboro, WI, Aron (Lindsay) Bradford, Duluth, MN and Garet Bradford, Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Nancy Hossalla, Apache Junction, AZ and Vicky McNabney, Duluth, MN, and special friend and longtime caregiver, Jan Mitchell, Superior, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Private graveside services will be held at Graceland Cemetery in Superior, WI.
