Carol J. Orstad

Carol J. (Morrison) Orstad, 70, longtime Superior resident, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth following a lengthy illness, with her husband, son and daughter by her side.
She was born on March 27, 1939 in Duluth, MN to Orville and Evelyn (Johnson) Morrison.
Carol made detailed doll houses for family. She enjoyed rosemaling, ceramics, and scrapbooking but mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandsons.
Carol is survived by her husband of forty-three years, Jon B.; son, Jon (Darla) Orstad; daughter, Kristin (Cary) Pallas, both of Superior, WI; four grandsons, Ryan and Aaron Orstad, Bryan and Steven Pallas; one brother, Russell Morrison, Boise, ID; one aunt, Delores Skoglund, Chisholm, MN; and two uncles, Robert (Lois) Johnson and Richard Johnson, both of Duluth, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A private family service will be held.
Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
The Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
