Cathy Jean VanDriessche-Beauchamp, 72, Superior, WI, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on September 24, 2025. She was born on March 10, 1953 in Superior, to Gust and Lois VanDriessche.
Cathy did various jobs throughout her lifetime that worked around her children and grandchildren. Cathy loved attending her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities. One of the best times of her life was racing snowmobiles. She was the fastest woman on ice snowmobiling and broke world records. She loved to waterski. She loved to keep her yard looking pristine with her beautifully planted flowers and fresh cut grass. Her home was always so welcoming and cozy. She loved going to garage sales and always on the hunt for a hidden treasure. She enjoyed doing puzzles and reading books and enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
Cathy put her heart into everything she did. Cathy was a devoted, loving, selfless mother and grandma and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Her family was her joy and her life. She loved hosting family dinners and having her family together as much as possible. One of her favorite games to play was the dice game.
Cathy is survived by her three daughters, Heidi (Craig) Boyer, Chesapeake, VA, Lindsay Shimek, Superior, WI, Colleen (Robbie) Stulz, Farmington, MN; grandchildren: Bradley (Lauren) Boyer, Alayna and Laura Boyer, Aleigha (Cody) Budisalovich, Taylee Anderson, Zackery Shimek, Reed and Brooke Stulz; brothers, Jimmy (Patty) VanDriessche, Largo, FL; Randy (Connie) VanDriessche, Poplar, WI; and sister, Julie (Jim) Bender, Iron River, WI.
In addition to her immediate family members, Cathy held a special place in the heart of her close dear friends and Oatis her dog. She will be deeply missed by all those who were lucky enough to have known her.
She is proceeded in death by her mother, Lois VanDriessche and father, Gust VanDriessche, and brother, Tommy VanDriessche.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
