Charles Allen Brunner

Charles Allen Brunner, 54, longtime Brule area resident currently of Superior, died October 4, 2014 at Essentia Health, St. Mary's Hospital, Duluth, Minnesota after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Mauston, WI on September 10, 1960 the son of Roman L and Dorothy M (Dentson) Brunner.

Charles graduated from Northwestern High School

Charles was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Lake Nebagamon, WI.

He was involved at the Challenge Center where he had worked in his earlier years and resided at the Cypress House.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Brunner- Peterson; nine brothers, Lawrence ( Sharon) Brunner, Oklahoma; Michael (Lynda) Brunner, Watertown, WI; Thomas (Paulette) Brunner, Coloma, WI; William Brunner, Brule, WI; Richard Brunner, Burlington, WI; Jerome (Nancy) Brunner, Duluth, MN; Christopher (Krissandra) Brunner, Chickasha, OK; Joseph Brunner, Brule, WI; and Mark Brunner, Verona, WI; seven sisters, Marilyn (James) Murphy, Neenah, WI; Elizabeth (Daniel) Kane, LaCrosse, WI; Barbara (Sid) Soltis, Hollandale, WI; Dorothy (Randy) Busch, Independence, WI; Jane Brunner, LaCrosse, WI; Theresa (Steve) Peyer, Oakdale, MN; and Charlene (Daniel) Chapman, Rockwall, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Roman L. Brunner, Brule, WI.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 11, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Lake Nebagamon, WI, and continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass with Rev. Fr. Dean Buttrick, as celebrant.

Burial will be at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Brule, WI.

The Lenroot-Maetzold, 1209 East 5th Street, Superior is assisting the family with arrangements.
