Christie Jo Nelson

Christie Jo Nelson, 54, Superior passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN.

She was born on June 17, 1960 in San Diego, CA to Jerry and Nancy (Swanson) Nelson.

Christie was a 1978 graduate of Superior Senior High School.

She was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.

By nature, Christie always looked for those who were less fortunate and hoped to help them.

Christie is survived by her parents, one brother, Scott Nelson, Portland, OR; one aunt, Margaret Lane, New Hope, MN; one brother-in-law, Erik Nelson; three nephews, Andy Nelson, Nicholas Nelson, Cooper Nelson; one niece, Morgan Nelson and a very good friend, Ed Boon, Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Deanna Lynn Nelson; an infant nephew, Christopher Nelson and her grandparents.

A private family service is being planned.
