Christina J. Kansy

Christina Josephine Kansy, 87, lifelong Superior, WI resident, died Friday, August 16, 2019 at Encompass Healthcare and Assisted Living in Superior. She was born on March 13, 1932 in Superior, WI to Peter and Anna (Bosak) Kansy. She lived in the family home on Kansy Rd from birth until 2017, then she moved to the Lighthouse of Superior.

Christina worked at Twin Ports Dairy in Superior in the sales office and then as a plant worker from 1950 to 1989. In addition to her work at the Dairy, she held various part-time waitress jobs at Sammy’s, the VFW, and her brother’s tavern, The Gaiety. After retirement, she worked at Fabrique in Superior.

She was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, garage sales and sewing.

She is preceded in death by her mother Anna Bosak Kansy 1997, her father Peter Kansy 1949, brother Peter and sister Leona both in 1943, brother Joseph in 2003 and sisters Pauline Kansy 1996 and Theresa Michaels 2015.

Christina is survived by her loving niece, Linda (Tom Freel) Michaels and nephew, Barry (Elizabeth) Michaels, both of California.

A Mass will be offered at Holy Assumption for Christina at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 with Rev. Fr. Ronald Olson.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Calvary Cemetery in Superior with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.
